L: Lori has been integral to the Bay Area PR scene for more than 15 years. She started in publishing working for ori ShepherdPC World and Macintosh Today before transitioning into a technology and business-focused journalist on staff at the Silicon Valley Business Times (formerly, the San Jose Business Journal). Lori knows firsthand the nuances of the news-making environment and its significance to the PR process. Later, she joined Hewlett Packard's PR team, working from the company's U.S. and European offices for more than a decade. She joined the national nonprofit USTA, combining communications, PR, and community outreach to promote tennis. More recently as a PR consultant, Lori managed PR for Intuitive Surgical, Guide by Cell, Woo Commerce, POWA Technologies, and numerous other companies. As a consultant for MSR Communications, an award-winning boutique PR firm, Lori worked on iconic brands including Dictionary.com; SleepRate, IZON Media, Virgin Digital Help, and CPP, publisher of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. Lori rebranded her consulting company into 25SecondsPR in March 2015 and has since been retained by VentureFund.io, SkyChildCare, Nobody Cares Go Harder, the Points of Light Foundation, the Association of Women In Science, Local Futures, and start-ups, established companies, and nonprofit organizations.
